Hortiman or Series1gem may be able to help with a date for your machine. Meanwhile here’s a couple of photo’s of mine showing the Villiers S12 carb. and air filter setup. These carbs. were also used on small Villiers engined motorcyles….

Hi all
can anyone assist me with some identification on a Bantam rotovator,on the side of the machine by the blades there is a plate stamped with ‘machine number 51450’ and there is another plate which gives the info ‘661B 48691’ and ‘Mark 15 HS’can any one tell me the age from this info?
The machine is fairly complete but is missing the exhaust and fuel tank and also has the wrong carb. Would any one know if this one would have the air cleaner on the carb or seperate on the chassis?
Thanks in advance
