Hi there,
I hope you’re well and don’t mind me posting here.
My name’s Clare and I’m a Producer at a Leeds-based TV production company called Daisybeck Studios, the producers behind ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ and ‘A Farm Through Time.’ We’re filming an exciting new four part living history series with real-life farmers Rob and Dave Nicholson and social historian Ruth Goodman which will focus on four different periods of Britain’s farming history (Tudor, Georgian, Victorian 1850s Industrial Revolution and Post War 1950s) and explore how the farmhouse became the hub of both domestic life and great industrial innovations during these important periods.
Subsequently, I wanted to get in touch because we’re looking to source some agricultural machinery for our series and I wondered if anyone might be able to help/recommend any contacts. We’re specifically looking for a working 19th century seed drill and a working vacuum milk pump from the 1950’s/60’s or 70’s (these could be replicas etc) to rent out for a day’s filming to fingers crossed see in action.
If you might know of anyone who might be able to help/or any leads at all please do feel free to give me a call on the following number: 07787510074 or email me at: Clare.callan@c.daisybeckstudios.com
Thanks so much again and I hope you don’t mine me posting here.
Many Thanks,
Clare
