I have just acquired a mk4 triple which is stripped bare of all cutters to be used as a garden tractor it has been stood under cover for 20+ years.i believe it is a very early one.
My problem is there seems to be no spark could anyone tell me where the magneto is and how to get to it to do a service any drawings – diagrams would be helpful PLEASE!!

From very distant memory , that engine has battery and coil ignition.

Hi Andy
The one i had previously had a coil ignition but this one has battery and the ht lead goes
into and behind the flywheel so it must be a very early one.I will try and get a photo of it to upload sometime tomorrow
