This is an extract from “The Cultivator” which appeared a few years ago and was written by Graham Brown, a well-known expert ploughman and consistently high-scoring competitor who has won the National Ploughing Championships more times than he cares to admit. It is good advice and is a simplistic guide to what you have to do when competing- as you can see, it doesn’t appear that difficult, so why not have a go? There are many matches organised at weekends in the Spring and Autumn and the organisers are always very keen to encourage new faces.
