<p>The prices in the catalogue are in the pre-decimal currency, pre February 1971, when one English pound had 20 shillings and each shilling had 12 pence, whereas today we just have 100 pennies in one pound.</p>

<p>I have found with Enots that they often produced sprayers utilising, and acknowledging of course, other peoples patents.</p>
<p>Just out of curiosity &#8211; what do you think was  the purpose of the adjusting knob close to the nozzle as seen in image22.jpg?</p>

<p>Re the cleaning of the Galvanised Tanks and buckets of sprayers. In the past I have initially used an old hack saw blade with the end ground down and sharpened on a stone to make a scraper to remove the worst, especially creosote residue. Care is needed of course to not damage the galvanising. <p>Thought I share some pictures of the latest addition to the collection with you.</p>
<p>A Four Oaks &#8220;Battle&#8221; Pattern which spent most of its life hard at work in Lincolnshire, the wear on the stub axles is amazing, as borne out by the wear on the staves caused by the left hand wheel rubbing on them.</p>

<p>A Four Oaks Handy for £12 13s 0d in around 1939-ish being the estimated date for the catalogue the page comes from equates to nearly £700 today, £699.19 to be precise, &#8211; so £22 + buyers premium &amp; VAT is b****y cheap.</p>

<p>Been away from the forum for a while.</p>
<p>No I don&#8217;t have any Cooper Pegler sprayers in the collection as to the best of my knowledge they were not Birmingham based so fell out of my &#8216;zone&#8217; so to speak. That said I do recall seeing various examples around the shows when we used to go &#8211; that&#8217;s been a while too.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I acquired one of these beasts from a Hollowell auction several years ago &#8211; when warmed up and at full bore it delivers an impressive flame + sound effect too! ( while warming up it makes an impressive flame thrower !!!)  It also had a sizeable thirst getting through a tank full in about 30 minutes.</p>

<p>That said it looks like you have it located in pretty much the correct place &#8211; there isn&#8217;t the room anywhere else in the chest for it to be located.</p>
