									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You may be right but &#8221; starter shaft &#8221; does not look like it has a dog drive , 137 had a similar flywheel/clutch as mine had been broken and I repaired it with heavy washers brazed in, T has a fan drive belt as well as the starter chain drive. Hope he can show more pictures of more bits and a serial number.</p>

Glad to see you are getting torn in to the sprayer, the wheels are very rare and so are the tyres, my plan if the wheels wer too far gone was to find some wheels with wrong centres of a size that tyres are easy to buy and then cut out the centres of the old wheels and weld them into the new rims. Adjacent to the injector pump there is a 19mm? plug screwed into the crankase, remove this and underneath you should be able to see the coupling between the pump and the rod, it is a spring loaded ball joint which you should be able to pop off which should then let you remove the pump.<br />

Your MG2 will run without problem on unleaded fuel.<br />
The colour would be Orwell blue lighter than Nacton Blue named after the factory sites and rivers in Ipswich. Nacton Blue was used on later MG5 6 and 40 tractors.<br />
The weight of an MG2 was listed as 8 1/2 cwt (950lbs)<br />

The seller says that it was used on airfields for grass cutting , his father showed it towing a starter pack for aircraft. So maybe more than rumour.</p>

I had exactly the same scenario with the magneto on my MG2 137 eventually I fitted a replacement magneto and it has never been an issue since but I worked for days trying to get it to run on the original which gave every semblance of being serviceable. Have you a machine nearby you could borrow a mag off? </p>

I have had a similar problem in the past which turned out to be a magneto fault, just not enough oomph to fire twice. I also have a dynostart fitted to an MG5/6 engine which works a treat I fitted a pulley to the back of the flywheel and mounted the dyno on top of the gearbox. Clean and check magneto points, nice new petrol and off you go ,make sure tractor is out of gear, throttle open a fraction and full choke until it fires then back off the choke slightly. The way to free off the rollers is repeated hammering to break up the rust mud inside the roller. Do not use grease or oil on the freed rollers they are meant to run dry.Not easy to hammer with track on .</p>
