Very sad news. I bought Geoff’s Trusty books only relatively recently, and he left me a kind note inside one of them. Moreover he always gave a detailed and knowledgable answer to my questions on this forum.

I am sure he will be missed. My thoughts to his family

Hi Grahame,

Cox and Turner supplied the rings. £58 inc delivery. I’m so pleased with the engine – now the rings and valves have been done I can hardly wind it over the compression is so good. Ready for many more years!

Yes I will never plough at the levels of Brian or yourself and others, but I do intend to use the machines as well as showing them (14274,13421,14355,P12352C) Annoyingly I just missed a local working day a few weeks ago. I have a few ploughs and a set of discs and a cultivator so I can have some fun 🙂

Hello,

I am going to show one of my Trusty tractors at a local show here in Cheshire in the next few weeks.

I’d like to put some exhibitor info on the tractor so people know what it is. So, could I ask for a bit of info about Trusty (two wheeled) tractors? If possible id like to know how many made in total, first and last (early 30’s to cir…[Read more]

I have just taken on a similar machine (1952) which has been stored outside for 20 years or so, it’s proving to be a bit of a pig, with a lot of seized parts, but it looks to be in far better condition than ‘yours’. I’d be giving that one a very wide berth I think, unless you are looking for a full on restoration project..

Thanks Geoff, if I did that would I be able to compete at ploughing matches? I only ask the question as I thought I had read somewhere that – essentially – everything on the plough had to be original, or from the correct time period or something.
Thanks!
Will

Hi all,

I’m looking for a skimmer for the disc coulter of a Trusty tractor plough. Are they available?

If not am I allowed to use (I refer mainly to ploughing matches) a skimmer from something else, such as Ransomes or Kverneland?

Thank you,
