ParticipantShould normally be a lot more numbers so guess you may be right re replacement.
have a look on the underside of the gearbox lid or failing that take off the serial number plaque and see if the stamped number has marked the chassis. Failing that photograph the Plate and play around with edit on photoshop or similar and see if by adjusting contrast/tone etc you can recover the number.April 20, 2015 at 6:12 pm #12665expeatfarmer

If your tractor has not run for some time it may be that the crank shaft chamber has collected a quantity of oil which now you are running the engine is being drawn out by the scavenger pump and fed back into the oil tank. This should stop when the chamber is empty. Take a sample of oil out of the tank and see if it smells of petrol to check if it is fuel related. Is it just the hose to the air filter that is in poor condition if so Neil Jarrett carries a stock of these.April 14, 2015 at 12:19 pm #12577expeatfarmer
ParticipantI suspect the answer is in your post, if you have tilted to a steep angle I suspect that either water or rust/crud in the petrol tank has blocked the tank outlet, remove the tap and flush out the tank and pipe work, you may need to follow it through the fuel pump and carburettor.
oil in the pto is because the gearbox oil has run into the bearing when you tilted the tractor, check that the oil is not too high or again water contaminated. You are unlikely to have caused any damage.April 12, 2015 at 2:01 pm #12563expeatfarmer

I have moved ransomes crawlers quite happily in a VW T4 van engine to the front works best.April 12, 2015 at 8:48 am #12561expeatfarmer
ParticipantGraeme the way you describe your oil flow sounds just the way it should be, what you are seeing is the return flow from the galleries. If you are concerned about oil pressure/ flow, slacken one of the pipes next to the starter dog when the engine is running.

ParticipantWell done look forward to meeting you.
My wife Janet has suggested that for those unable to attend that we have a noticeboard on which to post photos of machines, I already have quite a collection of owners from Australia and USA that have sent pictures.April 9, 2015 at 11:46 am #12504expeatfarmer
ParticipantHi Rob
It works extremely well the pump has sufficient flow to multi task so that you can crowd and slew at the same time dipper and lift powerful so grading is good. levers are set up the same way as the Volvo mini digger I had so that I did not have to re learn.April 8, 2015 at 8:21 am #12489expeatfarmer

ParticipantDigger has spent most of Easter landscaping in my son’s garden moving and replanting shrubs and trees before moving tons of soil about. I am really pleased with it, it operates just as a mini digger should and has loads of grunt for pushing and back blading. I even have my own service crew!

ParticipantI use a 3.5 tonne twin axle car transporting trailer which enables me to carry three at a time. I also have a 15cwt box trailer which I have used for 1 machine also a twin axle.
