Thanks Roatavator she’s not a runner but she’s not seized and turns over nicely so hopefully shouldn’t take too much to get her running. She’d been left outside untouched for 40 years so I think I’ll treat her to a full restoration.

I’d already noted your information off the item description thanks. I’d love some literature on her parts book and owners manual would be really useful. If you have got some side panels I’ll gladly buy them off you as she does need some. Thanks for the help and info Charlie.

I’ve started restoring my BMB Cultmate (see separate topic in projects) this machine has a BSA engine which runs beautifully , however looking at the carburettor I can see a hole now I’m just wondering is the hole supposed to be there or whether it’s missing something. Does anyone know for sure , it runs fine but does seem to leak an awful lot so…[Read more]

I have just started the restoration of this BMB Cultmate with BSA engine. It runs beautifully usually on the first pull. So I’m hoping it’ll just be a case of a good clean and some paint. I’m hoping to have this finished for Tractorworld in February.

I’ve been looking at getting an engine for the Hoemate I’m restoring and have managed to find a decent Villiers mk 10. This engine I believe is rated at 1hp and the brockhouse engine that should be fitted is 1-3/4 hp. Would this underpowered engine still work ok in a Hoemate or am I better holding out for a bigger engine?
