    Thanks Owen and Charlie I was impressed how it coped with my spirus cake. The subsitute material was the cheapest available ply wood at 12mm thick,its main purpose in the building trade is for shuttering concrete foundations etc.

    hi Charlie the cake substitute is a compressed pieces of plywood which you would use to shutter concrete proper name is sterling board.
